Left Predazzo at 09.25. A chilly morning 12-14 degrees! Initially got stuck behind a British couple who couldn’t get their act together, and then leaving the city proved to be a bit of a struggle also, as some damn bicyclists had decided to arrange for a race, closing the main road. However, after some waiting we managed to get on to the main road.
It proved not be the only bump on the road to Lake Como/Lago I’d Lugano we should experience.
North of Milan, we lost the better part of an hour due to an accident on the autostrade. To add insult to injury, just as we were passing Como, the GPS directed us into Switzerland and we got a scenic tour via Lugano back to Italy, arriving into Camping Darna just after 17.00 where the mercury showed 27 degrees.
